Chef Bongo – Top Ten Best Chef in all of Canada.
Farmers just drop by to see Chef Bongo at the Naramata Heritage Inn. That is quite a different scenario than when you are a Chef in a big city. His cooking really is about synergy!
16 of us dined alfresco on a Sunday night on the porch under a wood ceiling. The Inn is my favorite building in the Southern Okanagan and it is totally being complimented with a dynamic Chef. Our first of 6 courses is zucchini bisque with violets. With a light creamy consistency and youthful garden-greenness – the bisque loosened-up palettes.
“ Food must beautiful too look at, have an aroma which is heavenly and taste so good, your tongue cannot argue against it” says Bongo. The visual appeal of the grilled pears and candy beet salad with maple truffle vinaigrette was Bongo’s Renoir on a plate. Other hits were the Smoked Duck with hoisin demi-sauce with brie cauliflower puree. Genius.
